It’s now day 3 of DTS and we’re still doing orientation but I am already feeling challenged by God! We had a lot of free time over the past couple of days which was a blessing since I was still getting use to the time change. This morning was the first morning I felt completely rested.
Today I was able to walk through the forest nearby that has biking and walking trails! It’s so amazingly beautiful and serene here at Lausanne! I’m so glad that God would smile upon me and give me the privilege to study in such a gorgeous place.
The landscape is not the only thing that’s beautiful! I’ve met some wonderful and loving hearts from all over the world. There are 50 students in my school and 43 of them are from Korea. There are a few Koreans that are from other countries like Brazil and Australia. The other non-Koreans are from Finland, US and Switzerland. There are also two other schools that are in session right now. There’s a Bible Core Course which is an in depth study of the Bible and they actually go to Israel, Greece, Rome and a couple other countries. The other school is Foundations in Early Childhood Education. We have a chance to fellowship with them and I’ve already made some lifelong friends. I even got an invitation to stay with my Swiss friend, Dina, after the school session.
After tonight I may not have as much time to update the blog since we have already received our journaling and Bible reading assignments. We are also required to read 3 books and complete reports for each one. Starting next week we will be doing weekly outreaches in Lausanne. I’m really excited to challenge myself to be bold to share God’s love to those in the local area!
Now, ready for bed as my family and friends in Hawaii are just starting their day!
Jalja (good night)!
